Walters Receives a “Thank You” from San Elijo Elementary School

Summer 2010

San Elijo Elementary School K-5th graders and the entire Garden Committee were very thankful for the donation from Walters Management.

“Your contribution has helped make possible something truly magical in our community, and we are grateful you chose to be a part of the largest school garden project in the San Marcos Unified School District,” said a member of the Garden Committee. “We are so grateful for your support in recognizing the value of this garden in a time when resources are thin and a school’s “needs to haves” take clear precedent over its “want to haves.”

Phase 1 of the garden project has been completed and Phase 2 is underway. The garden project includes raised planter boxes, a student– tested irrigation system, fledgling fruit trees and drought – friendly groundcover.
