13 Aug #ManagerMonday Recap
Over the past month, we’ve embarked on a weekly social media campaign highlighting some of the amazing Community Association Managers at our company – Amber Korody, Jamie Kim, and Kim Hand. It’d be a shame for you to have missed any of them, so we’ve gathered them all in one place for your viewing pleasure!
Amber Korody CCAM
Amber Korody has been managing since ’05 and is a prolific volunteer who spends many after work hours giving her time to both industry and local events. She has earned the Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM) designation and is the Chair of the Community Outreach Committee of CAI San Diego. Her volunteering efforts are actively involved with San Diego’s local communities. She sits on the Board for a women’s home and works with the Youth Assistance Coalition, which offers support for homeless children and teens.
On the weekend, you might find her walking Mission Beach, catching a game at Petco Park, or bowling (which she averages a score of 170!!!). Amber has been with us since March and we’ve loved every day since!
Jamie Kim CCAM, AMS, CMCA
South County’s Jamie Kim lives in Chula Vista with her husband, son, daughter, and Pomeranian (aka Panda~ she was a stray pup found in the WM parking lot about 10 years ago and rescued!). Jamie has been at Walters since 2004 and worked her way from admin to manager in 2006- 14 years with us now! She is currently a Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM), Association Management Specialist (AMS), and a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and is close to obtaining her PCAM! She enjoys her easy commute, meeting new industry friends, and looks forward to learning something new every day.
In her spare time, she enjoys eating healthy (loves all kinds of good Vegan food!), trying new coffee shops, gardening, long walks and talks and enjoying the sunshine and shops in all of the beach-side cities with her husband and son.
Kim Hand CMCA, AMS, CCAM, PCAM
Kim Hand is a highly driven professional with almost 15 years of experience as a Community Association Manager. She has earned four designations, Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM), and most recently, the Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM) through California Association of Community Managers. Kim is also the Chair of the Manager Support Committee with the Community Association Institute San Diego Chapter.
In her free time, she enjoys camping in her motorhome with her two pets, an English bulldog named Chewy and a crazy cat named Luna-tic. Kim also enjoys spending time with her older brother who is a Detective for the Escondido Police Department as well as her parents who she considers to be her best friends.
