02 Dec Staying Current with Legal and Legislative Issues
In November, law firm Epsten, Grinnell and Howell held its Annual Legal Symposium in San Diego. The EG&H Legal Symposium offers timely, comprehensive information on topics relevant to community association law. The firm’s top attorneys provide updates and insight on case law, legislative changes, and emerging trends important to the practice of HOA law.
The Legal Symposium was attended by almost 700 individuals, including Board Members, Community Association Managers and other interested participants. Of greatest impact to Community Association Managers from Walters Management was legal guidance pertaining to the upcoming 2014 changes to the Davis Stirling Act. Walters Management has already incorporated many of those changes into our communities’ Annual Disclosure statements.
As an added bonus to Walters Management Community Association Managers, the Legal Symposium has been approved by both the Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB) and the California Association of Community Managers (CACM) to fulfill education requirements for both State certifications – CMCA® and CCAM®.
