Walters Management will hold its 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Tuesday, August 25th. The Charity Golf Classic is an event that raises funds for the Warrior Foundation – Freedom Station. For the last four years, the event has been a success, raising over $42,000 last year. The event relies on the participation of local organizations and has seen no shortage of those excited to take part, with over 130 planning to attend this year. The charity event’s major sponsors include local companies such as Pacific Green Landscape Inc., Epsten, Grinnell, & Howell, Pacific Properties Service, Park West Landscape Management, O’Connell Landscape Maintenance, and Pro-Tech Painting.

The Warrior Foundation – Freedom Station was founded in 2004 to provide assistance and support to military men and women who are transitioning post service and have been medically retired or discharged. The Warrior Foundation is a cause close to the heart of Walters Management which like most San Diego companies, has many employees who are veterans, come from military families, or are military spouses. The proceeds from the Walters Management Charity Golf Classic will go towards the foundation’s goals for providing quality-of-life items, support services and transitional housing for those who have served their country.

This year’s Charity Golf Classic will be held at The Crosby Club in Rancho Santa Fe. The Crosby Club offers a beautiful, spacious course for participants to play on so they can have a good time while making a difference with their support. With many participants being avid golfers, Walters Management wanted to choose a host that would create a challenging and enjoyable game for all attendees. The Crosby Club’s fairways feature stimulating elevation, diverse distances between greens, and elevated tee boxes providing breathtaking views of the beautiful North County landscape.

Events like these rely on the generosity of local companies going above and beyond to participate in fundraising that will truly make a difference in the lives of others. Walters Management has created an event that benefits a well-deserved population that is a huge part of San Diego’s culture. With Camp Pendleton, the Navy base, and a vast military population in general, this is a cause that we can all appreciate.
